Laura Bloomfield, APRN-CNP was born in Greensboro, NC and moved to Tulsa at an early age. She attended Memorial High School and later the University of Tulsa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983. While at TU, Laura was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma fraternity and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. After graduation, she began her nursing career in oncology at Saint Francis Health System. In 1984, Laura moved to Chicago where she worked in Home Health and Nursing Quality Assurance for Baxter International. Laura returned to Tulsa in 1988 and rejoined Saint Francis Health System working in Home Health. Laura obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2010 and began a position with the Internal Medicine Clinic for Utica Park Clinic in Claremore and later in Tulsa. Laura has volunteered in the Tulsa Day Center Free Nurses’ Clinic over the past 15 years.
Laura has been married to Tom Bloomfield for 37 years and together they have 3 sons, Tim Bloomfield and his wife, Alyssa, Jack Bloomfield and his fiancée, Kristen, and Michael Bloomfield. Laura is a proud grandparent of her first grandchild, Boone, who was born in January of 2021. She is active with Cornerstone Church as a volunteer and as a point person for the CarePortal, a foster care support organization. Laura remains active at Kappa Gamma alumnae activities and enjoys walking, tennis, yoga and spending time with her grandson.
Laura is the 2022 Volunteer of the Year for Heart of Henry.
